There and back again.......

Hiya all,

Funnily enough I did actually go and see Lord of the Rings whilst in 'sunny' London - that was my Westend experience and I know what all the purests would say - frankly I don't care - it was fantastic! Thanks again to Mal and Chris for organising it for me!! Nic was so jealous.
Anyway I've been and come back again - I've been asked back again really soon too because when I arrived the weather improved (amazing really) and it started pouring the day I left! So invitation in the mail for next summer - hopefully I can improve on this years effort. Every second person - no actually probably every person I spoke to mentioned what a S**T summer they had and how lucky I was that the sun was out for my trip.

In all my trip was fanastic - good weather (I just like rubbing it in!), good food and good company - Helena included. Managed to get some sleep in's and its amazing - you tend not to hear another baby unless its yours - scientific study in that I'm sure. Although possibly the 10 years experience at Kids hospital came in good use! Not much else to report really - just nice to get away and not have to think of small child and husband for 2 weeks! To be brutely honest though I was missing them both by the second week - especially my tour guide that usually comes with me!! Certainly didn't get the same amount of information this time around - Mal and Chris just weren't up on their 'bits and pieces' of trivia!

House is still standing and everyone is still talking about to each other so all good. Now it's time to get onto the 'prettying' up of the house. Lots of money to be spent and I love it!
I have posted some photos - not a huge amount - just a small selection.

And away I go.....

So - it's done! We're in and no where near settled but we're in. We even have a driveway now which under the circumstances is an achievement in itself. Between the weather, APEC, council inspectors nowhere to be found when they've been booked for an appointment it's a wonder that it happened at all.

Unfortunately at the moment you will just have to put up with my blatherings on as my computer conveniently died (hard drive kaput!!!) about 2 days before we moved last week and I'm limited to sneaking onto Nic's laptop whilst it's lying idle! Hopefully photos will be forth coming when I find where the camera CD is and I can load onto Nic's computer. I will be organised again - one day!

Well I'm off today into the great blue yonder - for those of you who want to let Nic know that you're thinking of him the landline is finally reconnected - same no. as before (at least that came together for me!) Will catch up with everyone later on and I promise we will have that house warming soon. Once the dust has settled - literally!

Take care.

WE HAVE FENCES!

So for those of you interested - WE HAVE 3 NEW FENCES! And boy do they look good! We are extremely happy with them and the guys were great - good old wog connection - I can comment as I am half wog myself! Well close enough to anyway!

The big move is still happening next week and the phone should be back on by the end of next week - maybe depends on this small thing called APEC which seems to have everyone in a flap at the moment.

Photos will follow promise but all is good!

IT'S OURS!

Would you believe it? It's finally ours! I know amazingly the bank did give us the rest of our money and keys were handed over! Wonders will never cease and unfortunately neither will the mortgage but we still have a brand new house!

So when do we sleep over? Moving date will (hopefully) be the 5th Sept so if you don't want to be called on during the APEC weekend organise a trip now! No sorry we aren't doing our bit for Sydney city during APEC - we're STAYING!
No seriously some lovely removalist type fellows will be doing most of the work this time round so Nic doesn't even have to leave the country. For those of you who don't know Nic conveniently left for Korea during the last major move of the Trpezanovski household. Not this time though - his nice new employers have even agreed for him to have the day off on the Wednesday so all is good.

Pictures of the new carpet

And an update on downstairs complete with new plant!

As for the big house warming - it will have to wait. As luck would have it I'm off into the big blue yonder for a quick jaunt to 'sunny' old London on the 14th Sept to visit the newest Grice edition and unfortunately I'm going by myself. As you can tell I'm devastated by the thought of leaving Nic and Zoe, the dogs, unpacking of a new house, work etc behind but we'll muddle through!! (I can't wait!)

Xmas drinks - hopefully - will be on us if all goes to plan. The replacement of the fence seems to be a drought breaker at the moment with torrentail rain pouring down on Concord during our attempted fence building exercise. Nic and I believe it is our back neighbour who is a member of a
secret rain cult who has put the rain hex on our fence building - let's just say she's being a little old biddie and that is putting it mildly!!! We will prevail let me tell you!

To summarise we are extremely excited about moving, the fence will prevail come rain, hail or shine and we would love for everyone to come and visit because we have a great space now for BBQ's etc. Well we will once the backyard is cleaned up - it's a bit of a clay swimming pool at the moment but minor problem.

Will keep you posted!

It had to happen.......

So it has finally happened......Trpezanovski's have joined the blogger age!

Why now and not before I hear millions cry?......Pure and utter laziness would be my reply to you all.
What better time to get started than at the end of 'the building our house' project and just because I can.

Not much to say at the moment though - loss for words really.

For those of you interested - the house is still NOT ours! The bank is being a little stubborn in returning calls but that will not deter - we certainly haven't come this far just to sit and look at it for another couple of months. So hopefully the next couple of weeks will see us at least get keys to the front door so we can legally go inside!!!
Fencing, driveway and carpet guys are all ready to go just waiting on us now.

So anyway like I said not much to say really - certainly not anything too profound at this stage - I'll work on my publishing / editing skills for the next installment. I'm sure everyone will be waiting in anticipation!!

Can't leave without the obligatory photos of Zoe and our latest trip to the Zoo.

Ciao
